ekoe’s co-creative approach lends itself to consultation with individuals, families, and organizations looking to make meaningful change.
We function as relational bridge builders, map-makers, and thought partners in a variety of settings – applying expertise in trauma healing, interpersonal dynamics, and interventions that target behavioral and cultural change.
Parent consultation
As parents and caregivers, one of the most overwhelming experiences is to witnesses our children experience behavioral and emotional challenges. Parent consultation gives you a space to process your experience of parenting, learn effective behavioral management strategies, and practice ways to care yourself as you care for your child(ren).
School consultation
Psychoeducational consultations involve collaboration with students, families, and school personnel to design a plan to encourage academic success. Though not required, it is helpful if a psychological, neuropsychological or psychoeducational evaluation has been conducted prior to the consultation. We help students connect and communicate effectively with the educational team.
Recovery consultation
Recovery from substance abuse and other compulsive behaviors poses significant challenges for individuals and families. ekoe team members have specific expertise in assessing and treating co-occurring substance abuse and mental health disorders. With so many treatment options, levels of care, and community resources, many clients struggle to navigate where to go for help and how to approach recovery. Others seek us out, frustrated and fatigued by a long-term recovery plan that is no longer working. Given the complexity and chronicity of substance use recovery, these consultations vary in duration.
Organizational consultation
Our team has an array of experiences working with organizations to assess and change work culture, to bolster employee satisfaction, improve teamwork and communication, and to help process the loss of a colleague or other traumatic experiences. These consultations are time-limited and precise in scope and depth.
Practitioner consultation
Mental health providers and integrative health practitioners collaborate with one another to maintain and enhance the quality of care that they provide. ekoe providers have been trained in approaches that are trauma-informed, theory-driven, and validated by research to be effective across demographic areas (e.g., age, ethnicity, gender) and clinical concerns. Providers can arrange to meet with an ekoe consultant one-on-one, or engage with the ekoe team, for one-time or ongoing consultation.
