What is Integrative Health?
Integrative Health and Wellness is a holistic approach to treating physical and emotional imbalances.
At ekoe, we specialize in Integrative and Functional Nutrition and Bioelectromagnetic Engineering. We evaluate all ages and work with children two and up, adolescents, adults, and older adults. Clients meet with the Clinical Nutritionist to assess needs, and together they create a treatment plan.
Clients will follow the treatment plan and meet with the Clinical Nutritionist as dictated to monitor progress, tweak the plan, and help clients maintain. All services are individual services and take place in the Falls Church office.
A note from our Director of Integrative Health and Wellness
Why we pair technology with mental health:
In my work as a scientist, systems engineer, and nutritionist, I learned to appreciate the connection between how and what we feel and what is scientifically happening in our bodies and within our environment.
We are made up of electrons; electrons produce electromagnetic fields and give us energy for life. At the same time, we live within an energetic system where everything and everyone is connected. Each experience and thought creates a unique vibration that echoes throughout our spirit and makes an imprint on the composition of our physical body. In this way, we can be a harmonious symphony of vibrations and sounds, which brings optimum wellness. Or, when there is dissonance in our symphony, it impacts the main nerves of our parasympathetic nervous system and negatively impacts our wellness.
The symphony of our body is a product of our environments, our emotional and psychological health is closely integrated. Trauma and/or toxic experiences impact the overall microbiome and gut health; gut health impacts neurotransmitter production and signaling. Additionally, the negative or lower frequency energetic vibrations both allow and attract unwanted pathogens, which continues the vicious cycle. Thus, treating your physical well-being pairs powerfully with mental health serves because you can heal your mind and body.
At ekoe, we understand that the body is designed to heal itself, so we honor and leverage the body’s innate intelligence. With the use of biophysical feedback and bioresonance therapies, we tap into the body’s autonomic nervous system (ANS) and identify reactions to certain types of electromagnetic signatures. We look at the state of the ANS to determine coherence, neurogenic and optimal signaling. When needed, we identify potential stressors, such as toxins, foods, scars, metals, pathogens, or emotions that may be contributing to the body operating at a sub-optimum level. Once we identify the stressor(s) and priorities, we use the supplements, dietary or behavioral changes, and/or technology to address the stressors and to optimize the body’s energetic environment. What makes it even more effective is that we consistently use resonance measurements to monitor progress at different energetic levels.
In this way, we can look at the entire body system and help you pair services so you can thrive with optimal well-being. Please feel free to ask more questions about how this can help you!

More about our services
-
Individuals come to us knowing they have some type of problem and many have no idea where to start. Our Integrative health coaching can help individuals and families identify potential resources and assist in monitoring progress. We are trained to look at biometric markers and lab results and to take and interpret anthropomorphic measurements.

At ekoe, we take a systems approach and apply it to looking at the mind and body. Similar to a spacecraft, our minds and bodies have lots of components that are connected and communicate electrically; they all need to work together first in subsystems and then as an entire system. The system then needs to operate optimally in the target environment.
The parallel to the human body includes the cells, tissues, organs, subsystems, person, and life. Given we are electrical beings operating in an electrical world, applying a systems engineering approach to identifying and addressing imbalances and interferences can have profound effects and is a powerful differentiator for clients to achieve health and wellness.

Each person has unique nutritional needs which are continuously changing as a function of the environment and daily living, which include stress, exercise, sleep, activities, medications, seasonal changes, and more.
There may be some foods that are not properly digested, nutrients may not be properly absorbed, or a preparation method may not be appropriate. There may be some food sensitivities that are creating an imbalance. Sometimes there’s a medication that has created either a higher need or deficiency of a specific nutrient. The latest fad diet may or may not be best for the individual body type. There may be some genetic predispositions.
At ekoe, we help our clients navigate these nutritional demands and weigh their options. We may recommend some lab work, but we can usually make our own assessments with a high degree of accuracy. We then focus on stressors to the body based on what you feed it.
Treatments include menu planning, supplements recommendations, and vitamin recommendations.
